  • What keeps individuals motivated?
  • What gets team members focused, collaborating, and acting effectively for a common purpose?
  • What keeps organizations productive and agile?

These are the questions that have driven Dwight’s passion, his personal growth as a business leader, and his philosophy as an executive consultant. In 1990, this inquiry proved so compelling that it inspired him to launch 2130 Partners. The executive leadership development and education firm continues to make these three questions central to its work. In fact they are the cornerstone of 2130’s Vision-Focused Leadership™ methodology. They are also the foundational questions that drove his approach to his new book, “Accelerate: High Leverage Leadership for Today’s World,” which he co-authored with his wife and business partner, Suzanne Frindt. “Accelerate” is not a theoretical book on leadership, but rather a practical resource for leaders to refer to when faced with the very real and daily challenges of managing their teams and their businesses. This book is the result of 20 years “in the trenches” with leaders helping them work through their issues and take their businesses to new levels of success and satisfaction.

As an executive consultant, Dwight draws on his decades of operational management and executive experience. Prior to founding 2130 Partners, he held executive positions in mining, heavy construction, nuclear plant construction management, real estate acquisition and investment management. In addition, for 30 years he has been an investor and activist with The Hunger Project, a global strategic organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. With this diverse background, Dwight blends his learning from the worlds of business and global nonprofit into the unique strategic planning, team building and executive leadership training offered by 2130 Partners.

More than just a philosophy, Vision-Focused Leadership™ is a powerful growth and profit-generating methodology. Some of Dwight’s clients have seen their annual revenues double and even triple using the techniques with guidance from Dwight and 2130 Partners. One client recently wrote, “I have worked closely with Dwight since 1994 during my tenure as CEO for two fast growing companies. He has been my coach and mentor as well as team facilitator the entire time. Dwight has provided valuable guidance that has significantly contributed to my development as a leader and a complete human being. He is uniquely qualified to help CEOs develop and integrate high performing teams. It would be impossible to measure his full contribution to our company. During the time he has worked with us we have grown dramatically from $1M to $52M.”

Dwight’s lifelong study of leadership and teamwork continues to be enriched by his role as a Group Chair for Vistage International, Inc., the world’s leading CEO membership organization. Since 1994, Dwight has facilitated three groups of CEOs and senior executives for Vistage. He has been the recipient of the Vistage Annual Chair Excellence Award twelve times and is consistently ranked as one of the Top 20 Chairs. In 2007 and 2009 he received the Master Chair award. Also in 2009 Dwight became a Best Practice Chair and began mentoring the Chairs in the South Orange County area. Since then he has added two additional Best Practice Chair regions; the Puget Sound and the Greater Pacific Northwest. In 2011 Dwight received the Best Practice Chair of the Year Award – Western Division. Combining his work with 2130 Partners and Vistage, Dwight has facilitated more than 1,000 days of workshops and meetings, and has logged more than 13,000 hours of executive leadership coaching.

In 2010, Dwight’s work in the field of leadership expanded to China where he participated in the launch of The World Academy for the Future of Women at SIAS University in China. The Academy selected the best of the women students at SIAS to be groomed as leaders. Dwight gave a key note address to 5,000 people during the SIAS graduation ceremony and also facilitated breakout working sessions during the Women’s Symposium which was held on campus during the same time frame.

Prior to his wide-ranging business experience, Dwight earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Geology from Northwestern University. As an expression of his continuing commitment to expand the dimensions in which he can work on behalf of his clients’ growth and development, Dwight was ordained as an interfaith minister in 2005.
